Active on the international art scene since 2004, he has developed his artistic practice across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Following a period of training and residencies in Paris, Bonn, and Berlin, he collaborated with numerous international galleries, including Ken's Art Gallery (Florence), Golkar Gallery (Bonn), Infantellina Contemporary (Berlin), Galleria Russo (Rome), Maddox Gallery (London), Macek Gallery (Miami), and Belvedere Art Space (Beirut). In 2012, he founded La Bottega Moderna in Florence, an independent studio and exhibition space dedicated to contemporary artistic research. Following an initial phase marked by his rapid emergence in the international art market and the luxury interior design sector, he embarked on a profound journey of personal and artistic transformation. The symbolic "death of the artist", announced in 2020, marked the beginning of a new phase of research centred on identity, nature, the dissolution of the ego, and rebirth. From that moment onwards, his work took on an increasingly introspective and philosophical dimension, evolving through experiences and artistic residencies across the Middle East, China, and India. In recent years, his artistic practice has been enriched by his engagement with Eastern cultures, giving rise to works that explore the relationship between humanity, spirituality, and inner transformation. His works are held in prestigious international public and private collections, including those of the Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, the Royal Family of Bahrain, the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi, the Fendi family, Diego Della Valle (Palazzo Tod's), Cipriani Group, Lavazza, and the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Lapland. His collectors also include Cameron Diaz, Devon Aoki, the Vice-President of Volkswagen, and prominent private collectors across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and Asia. His work has been presented at numerous international art fairs and events, including Arte Fiera Bologna, Art Verona, the Houston Fine Art Fair, and artistic events throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Today, Simafra continues to develop his artistic research through an AMAI UN SOGNO?the artist's latest solo exhibition at DUE – Spazio del Contemporaneo in Perugia.

[2736,2815
post-37803","artista","type-artista","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","evntimago-categoria-artisti","evntimago-categoria-opere-uniche

Simafra - IMAGO

<meta property="og:description" content="Riccardo Prosperi, in arte Simafra, nasce a Firenze nel 1985, città in cui vive e lavora.
